Future Hub and Duplex
2022

Gallery View of Future Hub and Duplex Through A Glass, Darkly at The Delaware Contemporary 2022 “Future Hub” (wall) and “Duplex” (floor) address the theme of “Through A Glass, Darkly”, considering the ability of glass to augment human perspective, extending our natural senses. Glass is an instrument for enlightenment and at the same time it is a driver for misinformation.

60" x 40" x 36" borosilicate, mirror 2022 Duplex re-imagines the natural world through a post-anthropocenic lens. Working with borosilicate, Lemaire's surreal transparent sculptural works search for spiritual balance in an ever-shifting, synthetic landscape.

Scenic Route
and Kosmos
2022

14" x 9" x 9" borosilicate, electrodes, transformer, neon Scenic Route explores ideas surrounding analog versus digital. This borosilicate sculpture is a functional marble maze game with many routes for the marble to travel to get from one end to the other through the movement of the hands of the player. At the same time the electricity added to the piece is quickly and easily finding the shortest route through the maze.

18" x 19" x 4" borosilicate, recycled nichrome kiln element, electrode, transformer, argon, neon , xenon Kosmos refers to the intersection of ideas about order, arrangement and adornment, and takes the form of a loop which is reminiscent of a beaded necklace strand. The materials are industrial; a recycled nichrome kiln element that has been transplanted into the borosilicate glass vessel. A mix of noble gasses (rare gases) enable the circulation of energy to be visible as conductive

Usually the translation goes from analog to digital, but here the absurdity of translating from digital to analog is explored.
